Dr. Taha received his Ph.D. degree with distinction from the Pennsylvania State University in Electrical Engineering in 2001. Between 1999 and 2001 he was a member of the Center for Research in Knowledge Communications (CRKC) in Pennsylvania, USA. There, his research work focused on quality issues in next-generation wireless networks. In 2001 he joined Intel Corporation R&D department in Oregon, USA, as R&D scientist, where he worked for 5 years on the development of next-generation automation and embedded wireless systems and published five patents.

Then, between 2007 and 2017, he founded and led the expansion of two startups in the field of ICT, focusing on broadband wireless technologies and machine learning algorithms. He managed the delivery of more than $200 million of ICT projects, in collaboration with global ICT vendors including Samsung, Motorola, Ericsson and others. During that time, he also led the design and implementation of mega digital transformation projects for some of the flagship projects in Dubai, including the biggest mall in the world, the tallest buildings in the world and Dubai Metro.

Since 2017, he switched his focus to Greentech and Nanotechnologies, and established partnerships and collaboration with the research groups of Professor Fraser Stoddart, at Northwestern University, and Professor Omar Yaghi, at the University of California – Berkeley.

In 2018, Dr. Taha was appointed Executive Chairman of Revonence Technologies International, a value-add private equity holding group, where he shifted the focus of the group toward Greentech and Nanotechnology commercialization; and since 2018, he co-founded new startups and established research collaboration programs with several leading research institutes including Northwestern University, University of California Berkeley, and University of Texas Dallas.

Between the years 2018 and 2020, Dr. Taha worked closely with Nobel Laureate, Professor Fraser Stoddart, and his team of scientists, on the scaling and commercialization of the CD-MOFs (Cyclodextrin-Based Metal-Organic Frameworks) technology, the only edible and biodegradable MOF known to date. He also led the development of a manufacturing facility for the large-scale synthesis, activation, and integration of the organic nanotechnology CD-MOF based in Irvine, California.

As CEO of H2MOF, Dr. Taha is now leading the business and commercialization strategy of H2MOF, focusing on solid state hydrogen storage at low pressure and ambient temperature to enable the wider adoption of hydrogen for the decarbonization of the energy system.
